MPI/RT Meeting, September 24, 1999, held at Mercury Computers

The following attendees got down to business at about 9am:

The purpose of the meeting was to review changes made to the document at 
the meeting two weeks ago, Sep 8-10, held at SKY.  The document reviewed 
is dated September 24, 1999 as it was printed in the wee hours on the 
day of the meeting.

Several items in the Glossary were revised, as was Figure 1.1, to make 
them consistent.  The revised Glossary was accepted by a formal vote of 
5/0/0.

A description of the "name_of_class" notation was added to 1.1.5 and 2.1.

We reviewed essentially all of Chapter 1 since there had been numerous 
changes, and accepted it by a formal vote of 4/0/0.

In Chapter 2, for consistency, MPIRT_KEYVAL_DELETE_FN was renamed to 
MPIRT_KEYVAL_FREE_FN with all the attendant changes.

Also in Chapter 2, there was a lengthy and arcane discussion of the C++ 
API with the result that "constructors" are public, not private as 
currently shown in the example in 2.7.  The minutes from the last 
meeting asked that a new section on C++ be added and this had not been 
done (as this continuing discussion pointed out).  The new section will
be added.

We reviewed primarily the marked changes on Chapters 3 through 15 with 
only minor edits and cleanup, including picking up some previously 
mandated changes that hadn't made it into the document.
